The mayor of Madrid, Jose Luis Martínez-Almeida , has presented the Adopt a Tree web application , a platform that will allow newborns in the capital to connect with one of the millions of trees in the city. Families will be able to sponsor a specimen and thus connect emotionally with the urban trees .
